Equinox - The Balance: day ~ night; sun ~ moon; masculine ~ feminine.
Equinox Tranquility or The Art of Shore-Sitting
Equinox tranquility
even the dogs imbibe its quality
despite a flurry of Spring activity
providing ample distraction.
The art of shore-sitting
requires an ability to do no-thing
where tidal flow goes almost unnoticed
as half-moon pulls lightly
on water beneath gulls bobbing gently
cloud-covered sky disguises mute sunshine
and still-borne air, carrying with it a prayer
of windless hints at serenity.
In the quiet balance of nature's entrancement
there is many a lesson, received as a blessing
by this shore-sitting guest.

Audio-guided somatic balancing practice:
This practice involves lying on your back, comfortably. If the floor, on a mat or rug is not an option for you, a bed will work, though the more firm the surface, the more feedback you receive from your body. If straight legs cause any discomfort or pain, bend the knees and put a bolster or cushion under them.
Either way, ensure you are as comfortable and warm as you can be, before you hit play and close your eyes gently once the recording starts. It helps to close the eyes because that draws attention inwards, but if closing your eyes induces any unpleasant feelings or emotions, leave them half closed or open. Enjoy! :)
